Biotin-11-dUTP is enzymatically incorporated into DNA by nick translation, random priming, 3' end labeling, or PCR. The number “11” refers to the number of carbon atoms in the chain between dUTP and biotin. The length of “11” is optimal for most applications.

Purity at least 96% (according to high-performance ion-pair chromatography)
