7-Deaza-2'-deoxyguanosine-5'-triphosphate (7-deaza-dGTP) can be efficiently incorporated into DNA by DNA polymerases and/or terminal deoxynucleotide transferases. 7-deaza-dG - containing DNA duplexes demonstrate increased stability, 7-deaza-dG - containing DNA penetrates cell membranes more effectively due to increased lipophilicity.
7-deaza dGTP is used in DNA sequencing with GC-rich regions. Unlike dGTP, it does not form secondary structures, which prevents compression and facilitates the interpretation of electrophoresis results during Sanger sequencing. Amplification of some DNA regions can be difficult due to the high GC content. Replacing dGTP with 7-deaza dGTP in PCR mastermixes can help solve this problem.Supplied as a sterile aqueous solution (ammonium salt). Colorless transparent liquid.
The reagent is intended for research purposes only. Not intended for use in medicine, veterinary medicine, etc.
