5-Methoxyuridine 5'-triphosphate is incorporated into messenger RNA (mRNA) by T7 RNA polymerase. The inclusion of 5-methoxyuridine may reduce the immunogenicity of the resulting mRNA.
The nucleotide has not less than 96% purity confirmed by HPLC, is tested for the presence of endo- and exonuclease activity and free of trace contaminating DNase and RNase, functionally tested in vitro in the transcription reaction.
The product is a sterile 100 mM solution of 5-methoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate ammonium salt in water.
