Highly processive DNA-dependent RNA polymerase of bacteriophage T7 (T7 RNA polymerase, RNA polymerase of phage T7), specifically interacting with the T7 promoter and catalyzing the synthesis of RNA fragments in the 5'-3' direction on a single-stranded or double-stranded DNA template under the control of this promoter. It can incorporate such modified nucleotides as aminoacyl-, biotin-, fluorescein-, digoxigenin-labeled nucleotides into the RNA chain
